Welcome. My name is Ashley Sanders and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I provide virtual counseling throughout Florida and in-person services in Casselberry, FL. 

 

 I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents,  adults, and families.   Many people reach out seeking support to manage feelings of anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, and depression.  Others may reach out for help navigating life transitions, peer relationships, and family interactions. Whatever brings you to this page, I am here to listen.

My goal as a therapist is to create a safe space for you to feel heard in order to heal from past concerns and grow into your ideal self. I work with individuals of all ages, with a focus on those that belong to the LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent communities. I am a body-positive, non-shaming, and affirming therapist who wants to ensure you feel supported within our therapeutic relationship.

As a counselor, I value flexibility, creativity, and individualized experiences for each person seeking support.  I like to combine concrete tools with introspection and growth to assist individuals in reaching their treatment goals. I recognize the variety of ways in which emotions impact our lives. I offer expertise in mindfulness-based skill building, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, supportive psychotherapy, trauma informed treatment, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy when appropriate.

Additionally, counseling for children and teens is a strength & passion of mine. I have found success connecting with youth to help them reach their personal goals while also helping the family unit heal. I also have training in play therapy and find this to be very effective with my younger clients.  I have extensive background working as part of local school systems to support student’s mental health.
